What's Included in Your Lessons
Real-Time Feedback
Wyatt uses real life conversations in class to help give you immediate feedback on the sounds and words that you struggle with most, so you start to understand how other people hear you when you speak.
Example: “I can't hear the R sound in ‘How are you’, it sounds like you are saying ‘How a you’, Let's practice getting that R sound"
Detailed Explanations
Learn exactly where your tongue needs to be placed in order to create the correct sound, and practice with Wyatt as many times as you need to find it. There is no rush!
Example: “For the R, you shouldn't use the tip of your tongue like in most other languages, instead we need to raise the back of our tongue so that it touches your back teeth on the sides, and has a little space left in the middle, let me show you!”
Vowel Library
Lessons include a vowel library which has all the vowel sounds of American English listed with their most common spellings, example words, and most importantly: audio recordings to help you practice.
Example: “Vowel R sound - common spellings: er, ir, ur, ear - Example Words: earth, earn, were, her, work, first”
